San Roque
The following information was derived from the original General Plan for the City of Santa Barbara. On a personal note, I can add that San Roque is home to the Peabody Charter Elementary School, is a wonderful walking neighborhood within close proximity to State Street shops, restaurants, and busline, and is highly-sought because of its character homes.

Woodglen Hall, a senior citizen’s residence, is located in the area. East San Roque contains the Peabody Elementary School and San Roque School.
Neighborhood Profile
East San Roque is a neighborhood made up of single-family homes, except for the area bordering Miradero Drive in the southeast corner. This area is mostly multifamily condominiums with a few commercial offices. The majority of the neighborhood is almost completely developed and little additional growth is likely to occur.
